'The aggressive push for certain immunizations on students interferes with the role of parents'

STATE CAPITOL, PHOENIX – State Representative Walt Blackman has introduced HB 2064, legislation that prevents schools from requiring children to receive immunizations against the Human Papillomavirus or against COVID-19 for school attendance.

“The aggressive push for certain immunizations on students interferes with the role of parents to make health and safety decisions for their children,” said Representative Blackman. “HB 2064 empowers families, not schools or politicians, to determine their best course of action.”

Walt Blackman is a Republican member of the Arizona House of Representatives serving Legislative District 6, which includes portions of Coconino, Yavapai, Navajo, and Gila counties.
