I have never experienced a more vibrant, safer community that is poised to embrace all the potential Prescott has.

I tend to stay away from political commentary on my page, sharing them with only my closest friends.

However, the AED agreement that was unanimously approved by City Council and the Save the Dells organization, was just another reminder of why I am endorsing Greg Mengarelli for Mayor of Prescott.

This was a true example of leadership and patience where all opposing sides came to the table, worked together, and in the end agreed that the best had been accomplished.

Ballots are in your mail boxes and I can not stress enough how I feel this is one of the most important local elections I can recall.

I’ve been operating restaurants in downtown Prescott for over 20 years, and have never experienced a more vibrant, safer community that is poised to embrace all the potential Prescott has.

Under Greg’s leadership, Prescott has taken the steps to truly become everybody’s hometown.

I know we have a way to go on social issues, but I am confident that these issues are, and will continue to be addressed in a productive manner as we move forward.

I believe strongly in diversity within the community, and within the council. However, without mature and experienced leadership, these benefits will never be fully recognized.

Greg has shown his willingness to fight the hard battles and stand up for what he believes is right and at the same time maintain one eye one on the future and one on the history of Prescott that makes it both a unique and attractive place to live.

The first time Greg ran for mayor I reached out to him via text and email with my concerns and questions. I have always found him to be available and open to an honest discussion about opposing views and input.

Imagine what Prescott would look like today had we not passed 443, which Greg not only endorsed, but worked to get passed. Add on the economic impacts of 2020 and the pandemic, and I feel we would be facing limited city services, reduced fire and police, as well as increased insurance rates and a decrease in home values.

While all may not agree with his decisions, Greg’s commitment to business and property owners while balancing the needs of a growing city are not only needed, but beneficial.

When casting your votes, look around your town, and then look at the candidates, there is a vast difference between them, their experience, and their vision, and their commitment to fight for the future of Prescott.

Have a great day – enjoy the monsoons and all that Prescott has to offer.

Below is my official endorsement for Greg, which I offered willingly to his campaign.

For the past several years Prescott has been fortunate to have Greg Mengarelli’s calm and consistent leadership as Mayor. This last year Greg brought Prescott through one of the most difficult times in modern history with compassion and respect.

Greg’s progressive, yet realistic approach recognizes the potential for the future, the challenges we will face, and the difficult decisions that must be made while respecting our history and heritage.

I personally know Greg to be a man of integrity, with an open ear, willingness to work with others, and a proven ability to lead and I confidently endorse him for Mayor of Prescott.
