Board of Supervisors Solicits Letters of Interest 

After over a decade of service to the public as the Yavapai County Recorder, Leslie Hoffman notified Board of Supervisor’s Chair Mary Mallory of her intent to resign from office to pursue other career opportunities. Her resignation is effective July 22, 2022. The Board of Supervisors accepted Recorder Hoffman’s resignation at its regular meeting on July 6, 2022.  

The Yavapai County Board of Supervisors is now soliciting Letters of Interest for appointment to the position of Yavapai County Recorder to complete the remaining term of office, which ends on December 31, 2024. Those qualified to serve as Yavapai County Recorder must: be 18 years of age or older at the time of appointment; a resident of Arizona; registered to vote in Yavapai County; and able to read and write the English language. In addition, by law the Board of Supervisors must appoint to the vacancy a person of the same political party as the person vacating the office. The serving Yavapai County Recorder was elected as a member of the Republican Party.

Letters of Interest and resumes must be received by the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors by 4:00 P.M., on Tuesday, July 19, 2022.  

The Board of Supervisors will consider the Letters of Interest and may appoint a replacement for the Yavapai County Recorder at a special meeting tentatively set for 9:00 AM on Monday, July 25, 2022.
