M 3.5 Earthquake Near Colorado City Featured

An earthquake hit northern Arizona this evening.
 

Big Idea 

  • At 9 PM Friday night, a Magnitude 3.5 earthquake struck in Northern Arizona
  • The location was 17 miles from Colorado City
  • It appears to be the latest in a series of earthquake near the Arizona-Utah border
  • There have been 15 earthquakes in the last 7 days that was M1.5 or greater

 

According to Earthquaketrack.com, around 9 PM on Friday night a Magnitude 3.5 earthquake occurred near Colorado City, Arizona.

It is just the latest of a series of earthquakes taking place near the borders of Northern Arizona, Nevada, Utah and California. In the last 30 days, 26 earthquakes M1.5 or greater have taken place in the past 30 days. These earthquakes have hit four states.
