It’s a great weekend to be in Prescott, Arizona!

The Prescott Police Department is starting the Pink Patch Project this week. 

This is the 4th year the Department has joined in to help support the cause. App proceeds raised go directly to Dignity Health Yavapai Regional Medical Center Breast Care Center to support early detection efforts and cutting-edge treatment for breast cancer patients in Yavapai County.

Along with the Pink Patch Project, the department is hosting several events throughout the area, and they are hoping that as many people as possible come to join them. 

Today, from 2-5 PM, they will be at the Fry’s Food Store on Fair Street from 2-5 PM. After that, they’ll head on over to the Founding Fathers at 218 N. Granite Street from 5-7 PM.

Saturday, they’ll be at the Galloping Goose on 162 S. Montezuma Street from 8:30-2 PM.

Next Tuesday, October 5th, they’ll be at Panera Bread on Gateway Blvd, from 8 AM - 10 AM. 

Wednesday, October 6th, they’ll head to Granite Creek Park Splash Pad from 2:30-4:30 PM.

Friday, October 8th, they will head over to Starbucks on Gail Gardner Way from 8 AM - 10 AM.

Don’t forget that Prescott Ride is offering Puzzle Rides. It’s an escape room style adventure through Downtown Prescott. 

The Halloween rides are just starting, and they are only during the month of October. They have four different rides available: 

  • Ghost Riders Puzzle Ride
  • Ghost Town the Search for Quon Clong Gin Puzzle Ride
  • Prescott’s Live Game of Clue Ride

And the special Wacky Witch Missing Broom Adventure Puzzle Route - an all-walking witch-guided Puzzle Route especially for kids 12 and under. The puzzles are geared toward the younger kids. 

Of course, Halloween Dress is encouraged for all these rides!

The annual Wild Bird Photography Contest submission are ready for public viewing

Jay’s Bird Barn is showing their annual Wild Bird Photography Contest photo submissions  for public viewing and judging starting today, October 1st. Head over to their store in the Cal Ranch Shopping Center and take a gander (ha, ha) at the photos submitted this year!

The Prescott Area Art Studio Tour takes place this weekend

The Prescott Area Artist Studio Tour is returning with an in-person event from today, October 1st - Sunday October 3rd, 10 AM to 4 PM each day. This is a self-guided tour featuring 74 artists in 49 private studios, plus an additional 28 artists at three Art Centers.

This month marks the Bucky’s and Yavapai Casinos 29th Anniversary!

Prescott Farmer’s Market on Saturday and Wednesday

You’ll want to head over to the Prescott Farmer’s Market tomorrow from 7:30 AM to noon at the Dignity Healthy YRMC Miller Valley Parking Lot. Here you can meet your Farmers, See Your Neighbors, Know Your Food - local farmers, vendors, food and more. 

They will also be in Downtown Prescott on the first Wednesday of the month - October 6th. That is at 115 We. Goodwin Street at the corner of West Goodwin and Montezuma.

7th Annual Prescott Long Rider’s Event is tomorrow!

On Saturday, the 7th Annual Prescott Long Riders Event will take place, bringing an All-Horse Parade  into Historic Downtown Prescott. They’ll be on Whiskey Row from 2:30-4:30 PM.

Dancing for the Stars raises money for Boys and Girls Clubs in Central Arizona

Saturday is the Dancing for the Stars extravaganza. This is the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Arizona’s signature fundraising event. It’s the local premier dance competition pairing local celebrities with professional dancers. All proceeds directly benefit the local Boys and Girls Clubs in Prescott and Prescott Valley.

It’s Date Night in Prescott

Extreme Faith Productions brings two comedians and a singer/songwriter to Prescott Mountaintop Fellowship Saturday night starting at 5:30 PM. 

Come hear comedians David Dean and Kay Dodd on Saturday, October 2. Besides enjoying a few laughs, Brian Weaver, a singer/songwriter will provide music for the evening. These are top-notch entertainers, here to provide clean comedy, lots of laughs and great music so you can enjoy time with your Significant Other.
