Prescott PD acquires new tools for enforcing impaired driving laws

Through grant funding made possible by the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety, the Prescott Police Department has acquired a fully outfitted impaired driver processing vehicle. The purchase of this vehicle comes just in time for our increased impaired driving enforcement efforts this holiday season. The mobile processing vehicle will be deployed as part of our efforts to combat impaired driving throughout our community. This vehicle is equipped to allow our officers to fully process impaired drivers in the field, limiting time and increasing overall efficiency. We would like to thank the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety for their continued support with our efforts to increase safety on our roadways.  

The Prescott Police Department will continue to conduct high profile impaired driver details throughout the holiday season and would like to remind motorists that driving impaired is never worth the monetary loss or the physical and emotional devastation that can be caused by simply making that bad choice to drive impaired.
