Cold temperatures on Thursday

Big Idea

  • A quick upper air trough will bring cooler air and gusty winds
  • The morning low will feel quite cold with wind chill temperatures below 10º
  • Good news is that we should have warmer temperatures on Friday
  • Another snow storm possibly on Monday - Tuesday
  •

Quick Weather Update:

An upper-air trough will dive south across Arizona tonight, ushing slightly cooler air and gusty wind from the north across the area. Although the morning low on Thursday morning (tomorrow) will be around 19 degrees Fahrenheit, it will feel as cold as 8 deg F due to the wind (wind chill).

Expect the temperatures to warm back up to near 50 each day Friday through the weekend, with overnight lows in the 20s.

Next Monday night – Tuesday: Forecasts are indicating another winter storm affecting our area. There is a great deal of uncertainty on the track of the storm and precipitation amounts. Forecasts are indicating anywhere from as little as a dusting of snow up to nearly a foot of accumulation. Stay tuned for an update on Monday.
