WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 11 PM MST THIS EVENING ABOVE 6000 FEET...

 

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches with locally higher amounts up to 6 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...Areas above 6000 feet in Yavapai County including Iron Springs, Walker, Crown King, Highway 89A between Prescott Valley and Jerome.

* WHEN...From noon today to 11 PM MST this evening.

* IMPACTS...South-southwest winds of 20 to 35 mph will cause areas of blowing and drifting snow, with near-zero visibility at times. Expect dangerous driving conditions.

 

Snow forecast from noon Today to 11 PM Today:

 

Prescott 1 to 3 inches.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while traveling.
