The new logo is meant to be representative of the growing Prescott Valley community
Prescott Valley Town Council on Thursday, March 24, approved a new, colorful Town logo that residents will soon begin to see appearing on Town vehicles, signs and correspondence throughout the community.
The Town in late 2021 started the process of updating its logo, which had not changed since 1995.
Prescott Valley contracted with Nicole Rodriguez of John-Delano company to coordinate a cross-section of community members, business leaders and town employees to gather ideas and inspiration for the new logo. The process included a community-wide brand perception survey, and many discussions about what kind of logo would represent the community in a fresh, new way.
Rodriguez then took this information to her designers, and after several months and eight to 10 different prototypes, an exciting new logo has emerged.
The new logo emphasizes the “PV” for Prescott Valley, which sets the Town apart from surrounding communities. Colors represent the Town’s open blue skies, the green that is prevalent after summer monsoons, and the gold wheat color that is predominant the rest of the year.
Community landmark Glassford Hill is represented, with the “PV” rising above, denoting this still growing, vibrant community.
Residents will see the logo phased in on Town correspondence, business cards and other items as current materials are depleted. The logo will also begin to appear on Town vehicles, signs, and other venues.
