Time to get the fishing poles out!
Prescott Valley Police Department is sponsoring its annual Badges and Bobbers fishing event on Saturday, April 15, 2023, from 8 a.m. to noon at Fain Park, 2200 N. 5th Street, Prescott Valley. This event is free to all attendees.
Parking is on East 1st Street where a school bus will shuttle participants down to the park.
Enjoy meeting and fishing with firefighters from Central Arizona Fire & Medical Authority, and officers from Prescott Valley Police Department, Prescott Police Department, and Chino Valley Police Department. Additional participating agencies include deputies from Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office and troopers with Arizona Department of Public Safety.
If you don’t have a fishing pole or fishing license, or you’ve never fished before, don’t worry. Loaner fishing poles and bait will be available. Arizona Game and Fish is waiving the fishing license requirement for the morning event and will be stocking the lake for this fishing adventure. The Early Bird Lions Club will help clean all the fish you catch. Penny’s Place Food Truck and TNT Treats will be on site selling food for attendees.
