Got questions for the PV Police Department? Here’s your chance to ask them directly.
The Prescott Valley Police Department invites residents to join them for Coffee with a Cop at IHOP, 3000 N. Glassford Hill Road on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 from 11:30AM – 1:00PM. This is an opportunity to ask questions and interact with police officers in a positive, neutral atmosphere. The public is invited for free coffee supplied by the restaurant.
A majority of the contacts law enforcement personnel have with the public occur during emergencies or emotional situations. That is not always the most effective time for relationship building with the community, and some community members may feel that officers are unapproachable on the street. Coffee with a Cop breaks down barriers and allows for relaxed, one-on-one interaction.
The Prescott Valley Police Department thanks all of the local establishments that have hosted Coffee with a Cop with free coffee for police officers and citizens during these allotted times. Many positive comments have been received from both department personnel and the residents of Prescott Valley.
The program aims to advance the practice of community policing through improving relationships between police officers and community members one cup of coffee at a time.
