At 7,055 ft in elevation, the town-owned, public use airport is only two minutes from historic downtown Springerville. Springerville is a quaint mountain town known as the Gateway to the White Mountains which developed around the logging industry. The downtown area offers a variety of stores and boutiques, along with many dining establishments featuring some of the best food on the mountain.
Summer visitors enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, fishing and just about anything else you can think of to do. The Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest is our playground with over 2 million acres of mountain country located in east-central Arizona.
The Springerville Municipal Airport is key in helping to fight wildfires. This helicopter is part of the Bringham Fire suppression efforts.
