Watch for work zones, plan for delays
As work continues on Interstate 17 south of Flagstaff for fiber-optic cable installation, motorists should plan for lane closures in the week ahead. The Arizona Department of Transportation urges motorists to slow down, be prepared to merge into the open lane and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while the following lane closures are in place:

ADOT is installing high-speed fiber optic infrastructure along 67 miles of I-17 between the McGuireville Rest Area (north of Camp Verde) and Anthem Way. Work is expected to continue through mid-2022, and will proceed along I-17 in segments of several miles per week.
