It’s spring here at the farm!

I am pretty excited about the spread we have this week. So many flowers and veggies headed to market - perfect for an easter celebration.  And the plant sale continues if you plan to garden this weekend instead of hunting for eggs. Either way it should be a perfect market day.

The weather was glorious this past week, practically hot. We got a lot of things planted and it feels like the farm is coming alive everywhere - the plants and the humans both.  We seeded all the peppers that will go into our field, which is a big chore and they are snug inside our germination chamber where the humidity and temperature stay just right for their liking. The to-do list grows longer everyday, but I am feeling a bit excited by it all.  We'll see how long that lasts.

with love from your farmers,
Shanti & the Whipstone Crew

Daikon radishes, Bok Choy buds, mesclun mix, micros and green garlic - just a few of the good tasting veggies headed to the market this week.

Plant sale goodies

ranunculus are sooooo good

just some of the peppers the crew planted this week - can't wait for them all to pop!

I love a single perfect poppy.  We sell these bloom tight in their fuzzy pods to protect them and give them a longer vase life - but they will open to be this beautiful (just a friendly flower PSA)
