A CCJ proposed project has not been presented to the Town of Chino Valley yet

CHINO VALLEY, AZ- Town Management has received several inquiries about a recent article from local media on a Coalition for Compassion and Justice (CCJ) proposed project for a 4-acre, 25-unit affordable mobile home village in Chino Valley. The project is, as described by the CCJ, an effort to “end homelessness in the greater Prescott area.”

At this time, no such project has been presented to the Town of Chino Valley.

“While I’m sure the CCJ has the best interests of the region in mind, statements made in this article are somewhat premature,” said Chino Valley Mayor Jack Miller. “It would be inappropriate to comment on a project that has yet to be presented to the Town.”

Projects that are presented to Town Council are required to proceed through a public process. Details are available to the public through the Town of Chino Valley web site at www.chinoaz.net/AgendaCenter

Town Council meetings are held the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. at Town Hall, 202 N Hwy 89, Chino Valley. Planning and Zoning Commission meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. in the same location.

Both the Town Council and Planning and Zoning Commission meetings are also live streamed on the Town Facebook page, link available at www.chioaz.net.
