Welcome Home Veterans

The Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Committee is bringing the American Veterans Travelling Tribute (AVTT) & the Cost of Freedom Tribute to Camp Verde for its final tour in the Verde Valley March 28-April 2, 2023.  Arizona State Parks and Trails, the Yavapai Apache Nation and the Town of Camp Verde are hosting the Event.

In 2012, the US Senate officially declared March 29 as “Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day.” The event is a gesture of acceptance, gratitude and honor to the members of our community who risked their lives and made the ultimate sacrifice to serve our country during the Vietnam War – this includes the veterans and their families.  This year is significant as it is the 50th anniversary of the withdrawal of combat troops. Vietnam Veterans will now have the chance to be truly Welcomed Home.
