Granite Mountain Republican Women to apply for charter

PRESCOTT, ARIZONA – Dedicated to the political education of its members, community partnerships and the support of local Republican candidates; the newly formed Granite Mountain Republican Women’s Club has announced that it’s applying for a charter under the Arizona Federation of Republican Women (AzFRW).

A special focus of GMRW is the vetting of candidates who run as Republicans to assure they support Republican principles and have demonstrated that support. Recent elections have raised concerns about attempts being made to turn the Prescott and surrounding areas Blue.

In addition, “GMRW is unique is our willingness to work as a team in order to serve all members and support Republican organizations. We recognize and acknowledge that everyone deserves to be treated with respect and dignity. We encourage diversity of opinions and a healthy discussion of ideas to arrive at reasoned approaches to the problems that face our country. We’ll work together in a spirit of cooperation, focusing on the principles that unite us,” TeriAnn Neigel, president said.

While there are several Republican clubs in the county, GMRW hopes to fill the gap of more personalized programs and services. Men are welcome to join the club, however, as associate non-voting members. AzFRW is under the umbrella of the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW), a powerful Washington, D.C. conservative lobbying group which represents issues important to women, something much needed in today’s political environment, where women’s voices are often muted.

Republican principles include limited government, individual freedoms, equality of rights and opportunities, free markets, responsible spending, lower taxes, secure borders and a strong, national defense.
