Walmart is now reported to be open and safe
A reported bomb threat shortly after 6 p.m. on Tuesday evening closed Walmart at Glassford Hill Road for several hours. Prescott Valley Police evacuated the store and an explosives dog was brought in from the Yavapai-Prescott Tribal Police Department to assist in the search for an explosive device.
The store was thoroughly searched and no explosive devices were found. Officers have determined the store safe and it is back open. Police detained and arrested a male suspect, who will be booked on felony charges based on statements he made to officers.
