Don’t be caught by a scammer!

The Prescott Valley Police Department will host a “Consumer Scams and Identity Theft” Presentation on Wednesday, June 16th, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm.  The presentation will be held at the Prescott Valley Police Department Training Room at 7601 E. Skoog Blvd, Prescott Valley, Arizona.  The presenter will be Tiffany Lam, who is the Outreach Coordinator for the Office of the Arizona Attorney General, Mark Brnovich. The Police Department is bringing this program to the community free of charge. Prescott Valley Police Department’s goal is to give our citizens the tools to make informed decisions regarding their online activities and to alleviate fear among our senior citizens about being victims of fraud. 

Presentation topics will include information on the most recent scams going around and what red flags to watch out for; the definition of identity theft; what actions citizens can take to prevent from becoming a victim; what to do if someone does become the victim of identity theft.  Reservations are not required.  Seats will be filled on first come, first served basis.
