Senate and House Republicans Stand with Governor Ducey in Opposing Biden’s Unconstitutional Vaccination Mandates

STATE CAPITOL, PHOENIX – Senate President Karen Fann and House Speaker Rusty Bowers today released the following statement:

“The Biden-Harris Administration misled the American people, assuring the public on multiple occasions that vaccine mandates were not appropriate and something they would not support. The Administration reversed course yesterday and will seek to force millions of Americans to receive the COVID-19 vaccination through an employer mandate. This abuse of executive power is authoritarian and dangerous, and it must be vigorously contested.

“Arizona Senate and House Republicans stand united with Governor Ducey in opposing the Biden-Harris Administration’s gross overreach on this matter.

“COVID-19 vaccines are a critical resource to address this pandemic. But we believe it is a personal health decision and not one that should be imposed by the President and Vice President of the United States. Moreover, private businesses should not have to enforce an illegal government mandate while facing potential regulatory and monetary penalties.

“Legislative leaders are already working closely with the Governor’s office to determine the best strategy to ensure the Biden-Harris Administration’s abusive and arbitrary federal mandate never takes hold in Arizona.”

Congressman Gosar Condemns Covid-19 Mandatory Vaccinations

PRESCOTT, AZ – Representative Paul A. Gosar, D.D.S. (AZ-04) issued the following statement in response to Mr. Biden’s plan to mandate COVID-19 vaccines for millions of Americans.

“There is no law authorized by Congress, and no Constitutional provision, that conveys the power to the presidency to force any citizen to undergo a medical procedure against their will.

Mr. Biden’s decision mandating that Americans take a COVID-19 vaccine is illegal, unconstitutional and a deprivation of individual liberty.

The decision to get a vaccine is a private choice best made between an individual and their doctor. There is nothing more anti-science and arbitrary than mandating vaccines, especially for people who have already had COVID-19. No one should be forced to get a vaccine. This is radical government overreach,” concluded Congressman Gosar.

Attorney General Brnovich Condemns President Biden's COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate

PHOENIX -- Attorney General Mark Brnovich issued a statement today after President Biden's unconstitutional COVID-19 vaccine mandate:

"President Biden is now taking federal overreach to unheard of levels by dictating vaccine mandates for all private companies with over 100 people, federal contractors, and healthcare providers receiving federal dollars. This would be a devastating step toward the nationalization of our healthcare systems and private workforce, and greatly erode individual liberties. I am reviewing his outrageous actions and will take all legal recourse to defend our state’s sovereignty and the rights of Arizonans to make the best healthcare decisions for themselves."
