Be a storm spotter for the National Weather Service!

After what seems like a very long two year hiatus, we are now allowed to provide in-person SKYWARN storm spotter training!

Attached is the preliminary schedule of in-person SKYWARN basic training sessions for May and June. I will be posting it to our website (https://www.weather.gov/fgz) next week. There is no need to RSVP as these are free and open to the public.

If you're interested in advanced SKYWARN training, I will likely host that virtually at some point in June. The website (https://www.weather.gov/fgz) will have more details.

If you no longer wish to be a storm spotter with the National Weather Service, please reply with the word "remove", and I'll remove your information from our database.

Thanks for volunteering! I'm looking forward to seeing you at one (or more!) of these training sessions in the next few months!
