On Sunday, April 18, 2021 at approximately 12:26 PM, Prescott Valley Police responded to an automobile versus cyclist accident at Glassford Hill Road and Veteran’s Way. The cyclist, who was on a low-profile wheelchair bike, was struck by a Toyota sedan as the driver turned right and exited a parking lot. The cyclist sustained injuries and was transported, via ambulance, to Yavapai Regional Medical Center for treatment. His injuries were non-life threatening. The sedan driver was cited for failure to yield right-of-way.

We are encouraging drivers to be attentive and aware of their surroundings when driving. Drivers should be especially careful to look for pedestrians and cyclists who are abundant within our community. Prescott Valley Police encourage drivers to slow down and take extra time to look out for pedestrians who may be on roadways and sidewalks when exiting driveways and entering roadways.
