Two portable speed trailers will display drivers’ speeds

The Prescott Valley Police Department recently purchased two message/speed trailers which are currently set up on Glassford Hill Road in the 45 MPH zone. Speed trailers are effective tools to remind motorists of their speed and drive within the posted speed limit.  Speeding drivers will notice these trailers display red and blue lights to warn them to slow down.

The Prescott Valley Police Department appreciates the approval of a federal grant from the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety for the purchase of one of these trailers.  The second trailer was purchased using Town funds.  The Traffic Unit hopes these message/speed trailers will help make a difference in keeping travelers safe on our roadways.  If you see reckless driving, report it to your local law enforcement agency.

Prescott Valley Police Department can be contacted at (928) 772-9267 for non-emergencies, 911 for emergencies.   Yavapai County Silent witness is 1-800-932-3232.
