Michelle M. Burchill, Yavapai County Recorders Office September 20, 2020 1223

It is safe to mail in your ballot in a timely manner

Big Idea

  • Using the mail-in ballot system will get your ballot to us in time, if you mail it in a timely manner
  • Business Reply mail is not treated as bulk mail
  • Business Reply mail is considered to be First Class Mail by the Post Office
  • It is the same as if you have placed a stamp on the envelope

Attention Voters! General Election - Vote by mail Information

Yavapai County Recorder, Leslie Hoffman would like to inform the public about recent misinformation circulating about the mail in ballot process. There have been statements made that ballots returned by mail using the Business Reply envelope provided are treated by the Post Office as bulk mail and are then delivered slower. This is incorrect. Business Reply Mail is treated as First Class Mail and has priority over bulk mail. It is the same as if one had placed a stamp on the envelope.
